Prescriptions FAQs
What's an electronic prescription?
An electronic prescription is a digital version of your paper prescription. Your healthcare provider can send your electronic prescription to you through SMS or email.
How do electronic prescriptions work?
Electronic prescriptions work just like paper prescriptions, except the prescription is stored on your digital device. This means you can access it whenever you’re ready.
If you want to collect your medicine in person, simply take your electronic prescription to be scanned by a Pharmacist in-store.
If you want your medicine delivered to your home, you can just enter the token when you check out when you’ve selected your medicine.
How do repeats on my medication work if I'm ordering online?
The way you receive your repeat prescription will depend on how you order.
If you’re using an e-script, your new token will be immediately sent back to you after your prescription is dispensed by the Pharmacist.
If you want to send a physical script, our Pharmacist team can either hold onto your repeat prescriptions and we can send them to you monthly, or we can simply send back the repeat prescription with your order.
Can Blooms The Chemist keep my paper scripts on file for repeats?
Unfortunately, we are unable to keep your paper prescription on file at this stage.
All repeats of your prescription will be sent back with your order.
Can I order medication online for a family member or a friend?
Yes, you can.
Blooms The Chemist allows you to create a patient profile when you check out, and you can make as many as you need for your family or friends if you’re ordering their medication for them online.
Can you accept a photo of my script?
For e-scripts, Blooms The Chemist can accept photos as we are able to scan the QR code. You can text us on XXXX.
For a physical prescription (paper), a photograph can be used for our Pharmacist to dispense and prepare the script, but it cannot be shipped out until the original prescription arrives via post.
Can I return my prescription items for a refund?
No, prescription items are unable to be refunded if you have changed your mind.
However, if the order has been fulfilled incorrectly, please let us know via help@blooms.com.au.
How will I know if you have received my prescription order?
Your prescription order will be confirmed via email.
Can I speak directly to a Pharmacist about my medication?
Yes, you can. Please call our Pharmacist Kylie on 02 9398 1777.
